Email Services - Setting Up Microsoft Outlook

Setting up Outlook is easy and can completed in just a few minutes. Below are instructions to complete this setup for various versions of Outlook. Configuring Outlook 2003
To setup Harmonic Mix Email Services in Outlook 2003:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2003. Click Tools | E-mail Accounts and Add a new e-mail account and then click Next.
  2. Select IMAP (recommend if you want to use webmail too) or POP3 for your server type and click Next.
  3. Enter Your Name, E-Mail Address, User Name (your full email address) and Password. Set your incoming mail server and outgoing mail server to mail.harmonicmix.com. Click More Settings....

  4. In the Internet E-mail Settings select Outgoing Server tab. Check the box My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and make sure that Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
  5. Select the Advanced tab. Update the Outgoing server (SMTP): port to 587.
  6. For users who will use their mobile device to read email too.  Select the Advanced tab and under Delivery check/enable the option to Leave a copy of messages on the server, check/enable  Remove from server after and set the number of days to 30.  Check/enable Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items'. This will allow your mobile device when configured to see new emails in both Outlook and your Android or Apple device.
  7. Click Ok and then Next. Click Finish to complete the process.

 
Configuring Outlook 2007
To setup Harmonic Mix email services in Outlook 2007:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2007. Click Tools | Account Settings.... This will display the Account Settings.
  2. Select the E-mail tab and click New. Select Internet E-mail and select Next.
  3. Enter Your Name, E-Mail Address, Set Account Type to IMAP (recommended if you want to use webmail too) or POP3. Set your incoming mail server and outgoing mail server to mail.harmonicmix.com. Set User Name (your full email address) and Password. Selecting Remember password is optional. Click More Settings....

To setup Harmonic Mix email services in Outlook 2010:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2010. Click File | Info | Add Account. This will display the Add New Account. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types and then Next.
  2. Select Internet E-mail and select Next.
  3. Enter Your Name, E-Mail Address, Set Account Type to IMAP (recommended if you want to use webmail too) or POP3. Set your incoming mail server and outgoing mail server to mail.harmonicmix.com. Set User Name (your full email address) and Password. Selecting Remember password is optional. Click More Settings....
